Hi,

I'm Tristen!

My first passion was music. I took 8 years of piano lessons starting when I was 9, but I was playing long before then. I participated in any music program I could in grade school, and during some of my time in college I was majoring in music. Life took me on a different path though, which has lead me to my passion of photography. Although, this passion also dates back a ways! I got my first camera for my 12th birthday, and my love for taking pictures has grown immensely since then. Going from choosing my phone based on what camera it had, to purchasing my first DSLR in 2020.

I thought I would just use it for a hobby to take pictures on hikes, of my cats, and plants. That quickly grew into me wanting to learn as much as I could about how to use my camera and capture the images I was envisioning and it is lovely to have something that I care for and truly am so passionate about.

I have struggled with many obstacles in my life, and because of this, one of my life’s missions is to be the best human I can be for myself and for others. I believe in happiness, kindness, compassion, self love, and acceptance. As a photographer, my job is to capture quality images. But my mission with photography is to use my core beliefs in and outside of photo sessions to create photos that capture raw, unfiltered connection, happiness, and love while also providing an enjoyable experience before, during, and after our sessions.
